Carol's Progress

Today Carol had her surgery (lumpectomy) and is doing GREAT! She will have to rest for a few days (ha ha) knowing Carol that probably won't happen! She will begin radiation therapy in about 3-4 weeks and will go every day for 6 weeks. One more hurdle to accomplish.

Again thanks to all of you who have sent prayers and good wishes to her and her family. The silent auction is over for right now and we will be doing a Craft/Yard sale this weekend and part of those proceeds will go to Carol and her family. If anyone local would like to come it is Saturday October 20th 8AM-Noon. Susie and I would love to see you! Hugs :) Linda

14 Hour Crop Finale......

Yesterday we had our big event to raise money for Carol and her family. We raised over $1700 last night alone!!! WOW. I could not have done it without YOU!
Susie and Kris (owner of Scrap Happy Sisters) and Pam (no pix here :( today) were such an integral part of attaining this success. Thank you to sooooo many more people, with BIG shout outs to Karen (sis) and Kim  Love you guys

The set up was a little shaky at first since we had so many wonderful auction items, but Kris and her husband came tot he rescue and we got it all together. The raffle winners were thrilled with their prizes. I know Diane loved her Magnetic Mat & case.

Susie and I will hold a craft sale in October and will have some more items for sale for PEP plus other new items as well. So SAVE THE DATE.

Even the littlest "scrappers" were there, meet Joy and lil Miss Allison!

The room was filled with great people and great food and we all had a fun time crafting, cropping and raising money for Carol.

And Carol was with us the whole day............

I will be posting another silent auction next week, more details to follow. So stay tuned and of course warm hugs and wishes. That's all for now....

August 25th Crop Almost Here...

I am so excited.....  the 14 hour crop for Carol is less than 2 weeks away and Kris at Scrap Happy Sisters said that she is almost TOTALLY SOLD OUT! Only one seat left, isn't that great? More fundraising will be happening that same night where the Silent Auction will continue, plus we will have many other items for sale like handmade card sets, kids stamping kits, a used stamp set area where everything is $5 or LESS! Yikes! Food items, all natural bath salts and soaps, T shirts and Breast Cancer Awareness information. Hope to see all of you locals there even if you just want to browse! There is also a beautiful necklace and earring set that we are raffling off for only $1 per ticket.

Should be lots of fun and remember the hours at 10AM- midnight at Scrap Happy Sisters 67th Ave and Happy Valley Road in Glendale, AZ.

UPDATES ON CAROL..........

Well all I can say is a picture is worth a thousand words.......
Zach and I just got back from Chicago las tnite and what a great trip! Carol looks beautiful, although chemo makes her more tired but you would never know it. The top picture is of Carol and one of her twin granddaughters, Chloe. I am sure they keep her going and give her strength.. as well as all of your warm wishes, prayers and donations! Carol, just could not believe that we were doing PEP just for her! She is so grateful to everyone and couldn't stop crying all weekend. Thank you to all of you, I only wish you could have been there to see her and her husband's faces when I presented them with thier first PEP check. What a warm wonderful feeling it was. She loves the name too, Pink Elephant Project.

The bottom picture is Carol, my soul sister, me and Karen, my real sister. We are all sisters in so many ways. Karen has done so much for Carol and this project, I couldn't have done it without her. Love to you both, my precious sisters!

Silent Auction into our third week....

I have had such a warm response from so many wonderful friends and family. My dining area is "flooded" with great donated items. I have been trying to keep the silent auction interesting every week and this week is a GREAT one! Remember that monetary donations are just as important! I just need to keep the excitement going and get the word out to more people to buy more incredible items so that I can REGAIN my house. Advertising will begin on FaceBook this week, I just hope Carol doesn't find out just yet. I am going to see her in August and want to surprise her with her first check and our mascot PEP (the little pink elephant)! She will be so surprised to know that so many more people are out there pulling for her! Blessings to all of you! Please share the love (and the auction link) ! :)

Fun Card Making Day Today

WOW- Check out these two ladies, Susie and Pam! These beautiful friends worked tirelessly on their gorgeous cards today to help raise money for the cause. Their talent and love was put into every scrap of paper and every drop of ink! Thank you so much for all of your support, love and friendship!

My very talented sister, Karen, made these beautiful elephant bracelets and I have been selling them like HOTCAKES! Check out some more of Karen's gorgeous work on this week's Silent Auction which ends on the 20th! Please share this link with everyone you know so we can keep the momentum going. See if you will be the first one to bid or the last one to win!

Finally I have to again thank all of those people who have contributed items, money, time, support and prayers for Carol and her family. You just never realize how blessed you are until something tragic happens! Please take a moment to remember that YOU are all very BLESSED EVERYDAY! :) Linda
